After launching JioPhone in India, Reliance Jio is likely to launch a tablet and smart television in the country next year. Currently the company is apparently working on two other hardware products apart from phones, and entering in new hardware categories as new tablet and Smart TV. While the specifications or the time of launch of these products are unknown.
Jio Tablet Specifications
The Jio tablet is most likely to run on an optimized version of Android, similar to JioPhone Next which runs on PragatiOS that has been designed by Google and Reliance. Additionally, the Jio tablet shall offer lots of applications on the Google Play Store and feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. Jio tablet price in India could be somewhere around Rs 10,000.
JiJio TV Specifications
According to the source, Jio’s first television might be included with Jio Fiber connection bundle and the set-top box service for users. For the smart TV, it should come with the Jio set-top box and affordable jio TV data plans. It is most likely to get multiple screen size options, various smart features, and get an affordable price tag to compete with Xiaomi, Realme, and even Samsung smart TVs.
The name of Jio’s upcoming television has yet to be revealed, but it is believed that Jio TV will be equipped with pre-installed OTT apps such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and other popular OTT add-ons. The platform and operating system of television will be announced soon.
Upcoming Jio laptop is named as “JioBook”
There are rumored that the Jio laptop might also been launched alongside the TV and tablet. The laptop is said to be powered by a MediaTek MT8788 SoC paired with 2GB of RAM. It will be tipped to feature an HD (1,366×768 pixels) display and may come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC anda Snapdragon X12 4G modem under the hood.

JioBook is said to come with apps such as JioStore, JioMeet, and JioPages and other useful Microsoft apps such as Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Edge, and Office. The “JioBook” is expected to be available with a very affordable price tag. The Jio laptop may have its own JioOS UI powering the system. The rumor is, JioBook laptop price will start from Rs 19,999. Jio laptop price may vary for different models and storage options.
Reliance Jio New Plans
On the other hand, Reliance Jio has raised tariffs of its prepaid plans. This comes soon after Airtel and Vodafone-Idea has increased the prices of their calling and data packs. India’s largest telecom operator raised tariffs by 20% for their popular plans, which is still less than other telecom operators. The new unlimited plans and prices will be applicable from 1st December 2021.
