Xiaomi announced that Mi 10 phone will be launched in India on May 8, 2020 before Mi 10 was set to launch on March 31, 2020 but delayed because of the Coronavirus crisis in the country, Central government has relaxed restrictions on lockdown and allow e-commerce companies to deliver non-essential items in the orange and green zones. Xiaomi has decided to go ahead and the phone will go online for sale on Amazon India.
Date has been announced by Manu Kumar Jain on his Twitter handle. The tweet reads “Mi fans, here’s the date you all have been waiting for.#Mi10 is launching on MAY 8. And…We’ve more than the #108MP phone lined up for you. RT with #108MPIsHere if you are excited #Xiaomi”.
A Chinese tech giant already launched Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro in the beginning of the year. In another tweet by Manu the phone will have more price in India as compared to China due recent GST hike, direct import, and depreciating rupee value.. In China, the price starts at 3999 Yuan (INR 42,385 approx.). One group of people in India don’t want Chinese products anymore. In this case it will be very interesting to see how Xiaomi will hold its position as a No. 1 mobile seller tag.
